Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actor, singer and voice-actor. Ariel started her acting career in the early years of her life. Ariel was featured in an Cool Whip ad when she was only six. The first time she appeared on TV was on an Episode of CBS's Listen Up! program at the age of 7. Then she followed it up with appearances on shows such as Monk Bones and ER. The year 2007 saw her debut as Gretchen in The Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. Two years later she had her first live-action performance in the role of Alex Dunphy on the hit television show Modern Family. Together with her Modern Family co-stars, she has won four Screen Actors' Guild Awards for the best performance of an ensemble in a comedy series. Ariel is still doing voice work voicing characters in films such as ParaNorman Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a belted in purple in Taekwondo. Ariel is the younger sister of actors Shanelle Workman and Jimmy Workman. She's also an accomplished singer, and she has an ensemble called WickedSweet.
