Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes is also one of two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. She was born on the 23rd of July 1971. Her first job was in the business of music in the early years of her life. At the age 10 she was a winner in local contests and recorded her first album. In 1985 she was signed by Rounder Records. Her first solo album came out in 1987. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her first album as a collective with this band came out in the year 1989.
